The 26 community leaders who volunteer to serve on the board of directors of United Way of Erie County take their responsibility to you - the donor - seriously. They work diligently to:

Study community needs and set priorities
Monitor the effectiveness of agency programs
Examine agency budgets
Allocate appropriate funding
Encourage collaboration
Avoid duplication of services
